Jordan Poole has suffered quite a reversal of fortunes over the last year. While Poole proved crucial for the Warriors in the run to their 2022 NBA championship, his performance in the 2023 NBA playoffs has caused people to question his role in the Warriors.

One of those people is Gilbert Arenas, who suggested that the Warriors should try to trade him for Jaylen Brown. “I would see if I could try to get Jordan Pool and see if we can find someone who is more stable,” said Arenas. “Because his game is erratic. It’s AAU style. It’s a herk and jerk style, highlight reel type of game where I want to shake you, I need to bake you on every single play”.

“And when you’re talking about being great or being consistent, you have to understand how to get easy buckets…With Jordan right now, it’s 90% of his game. So I’m going to try to move him and maybe if I can move him I can get Jaylen Brown?”

Poole was quite poor for the Warriors during the playoffs, with his performances against the Los Angeles Lakers especially garnering him a great deal of criticism. For Poole, who earned a massive contract thanks to his performances last year, it was a massive letdown this year.

Can Poole Redeem Himself In Golden State?

Jordan Poole and the Warriors seemingly never recovered from the punching incident between him and Draymond Green during the preseason. Green even admitted as such after the Warriors were knocked out in the playoffs.

Brown, despite a shaky start in the first 3 games of the playoffs, has bounced back well to help the Celtics come back in the series. He and the Celtics will face the Miami Heat in Game 6 tonight, as they hope to come back and reach a Game 7.
