Rapper 50 Centstook a shot at Ja Rule, saying the Minnesota Timberwolves were cursed following the latter’s halftime performance.

Curtis Jackson was at the Target Arena and has closed a deal with the franchise that involved his spirits company, Sire Spirits. And while at it, he had a rather amusing dig at his longtime rival. “We had a curse! Somebody f***** up, and they let Ja Rule perform at halftime,” 50 said. “Now, what we’re gonna do is take the curse off!”

The artist didn’t stop there as he uploaded a clip of Rule’s performance on a Timberwolves staff member’s computer with Shannon Sharpe’s joke phrase: “Skip, this might be worse than Fyre Festival.”

The Timberwolves will hope that 50 did lift the curse, especially after losing their last game to the Phoenix Suns. They will take on the Los Angeles Lakers next and hope that the rapper bought some good luck.

Are The Minnesota Timberwolves Title Contenders?

The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the teams in playoff contention in the West. At the time of writing, they are placed eighth with a 39-38 record and will take on a resurgent Lakers unit on Friday night.

While they do have the potential to make the postseason, their title contention comes as a question mark, despite acquiring Rudy Gobert’s services to bolster their chances of winning a championship, the injuries and inconsistencies have seen them wobble and stutter.

News doing the rounds is that some of the teams are looking at the Wolves, with all eyes, especially on Karl-Anthony Towns. “There’s no doubt that other teams are eyeing this situation and looking to see if KAT will become available,” said,” NBA Insider Jon Krawczynski.

Only time will tell if Towns, Edwards, and Gobert can propel Minnesota to a title by the end of it all.
