In June of 2019, the Golden State Warriors played their last game in Oracle Arena: a loss to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. Things have been up and down for the Dubs since their big move to Chase Center in San Francisco, but Steph hasn’t forgotten about his old stomping grounds.

Speaking on the ‘Dubs Talk’ podcast, the 2x MVP revealed his pitch to play one more game in Oracle Arena and pay homage to all the Oakland fans who continually sold out the venue.

“Of course, we should play at least one more game before it’s all said and done back there. Just to kind of relive the old days. I’d absolutely love it,” Curry said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “I have been a big fan of ‘Let’s just have one regular season game over there,’ just to have a little flash to the past. The Oracle in Oakland is always a part of our history. It’s part of me and my experience and all the memories that it has.”

Oracle Arena was notorious for being one of the loudest courts in the entire NBA. Even before the dynasty took off, loyal Warriors fans always showed up in droves to cheer for the squad.

Obviously, once the Dubs started winning, the place became an absolute madhouse of excitement. The same can be said for Chase Center, of course, but the scene there is more somber than anything with how poorly the Warriors have been playing this season.

Is The Title Window Closing For The Warriors?

Nobody can count the Warriors out in the title race, but they haven’t looked like a contender at all this season. Thanks to their home crowd, they’ve become impossible to beat at home… but major struggles on the road have them with just 7 wins on the season outside of San Francisco.

Nobody knows for sure what’s wrong, but the Dubs are going to have to figure it out soon before they get sent home early in the playoffs.

For now, they are just going to keep riding the wave and hope their mix of talent and championship experience will be enough to right the ship in the end.
