Kevin Durant is undoubtedly one of the most talented players to ever play in the NBA; there are no two ways to look at it. No one can question Durant’s ability to play basketball at an elite level.
However, what fans have questioned over and over again in the last few years is his loyalty. Kevin Durant has seemingly made it his habit to join a new superteam after every few seasons. The popular Instagram page ‘Basketball’ recently posted an edited clip of Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance to show how Durant chases superteams in the NBA.
Who would have thought that Rihanna’s amazing Super Bowl performance could be used to create such a hilarious edit? Kudos to the person who made it.
If this clip reaches Kevin Durant, we hope the Phoenix Suns superstar will love it and not take offense to it. After all, no lies were told in the video.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Recently Called Out Kevin Durant For Joining Superteams
For the first nine seasons of his NBA career, Kevin Durant made a name for himself by playing phenomenal basketball for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was a fan-favorite and always applauded for his loyalty to the organization.
However, Durant’s reputation as a loyal player went down the drain when he joined the Golden State Warriors superteam in 2016. Following his 3-year stint with the Warriors, Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 and formed yet another superteam.
Most recently, following a trade to the Phoenix Suns, yes, you guessed it right, Kevin Durant joined a superteam. Keeping these moves in mind, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo hilariously called out Durant for hopping superteams over the years.
“You keep joining superteams to win an NBA title,” said Giannis. “How about we work out together sometime so I can teach you how to carry your own team?”
Giannis was obviously calling out Durant in a hilarious manner. But what Antetokounmpo said was not at all untrue.
Considering KD is currently 34 years old, the Phoenix Suns will hopefully be the team with which he finishes his career in the NBA. But if history is any indication, Durant may end up joining yet another superteam in the future.
