To say that Stephen Curry has mastered the game of basketball might be a stretch but he has definitely mastered the art of shooting.
There is hardly any debate now on Curry being the greatest shooter in NBA history and while he has made a name for himself on the basketball court, he does shine off it as well. Curry is an avid golfer who has had a fair amount of success on the golf course over the years and the 4-time NBA champion believes that it is actually the toughest sport to master.
“I love golf for a lot of reasons. I mean obviously, I’m a competitive person by nature, and I think it’s probably the hardest sport to master. So no matter how good you get, I’m sure the PGA guys talk about it all the time, they’re at the top level, but they can always feel like they can get better. So, for me from the time I picked up a club, there was always something I wanted to try. A better score that I wanted to shoot. It’s a humbling sport obviously as well so it keeps you coming back.”
“I think it’s probably the hardest sport to master. … A lot of great memories that I have are playing golf.”

It is really a hard sport to master no doubt but a lot of NBA players do tend to enjoy playing golf in their free time. Charles Barkley has expressed his love for it so many times at this point and Michael Jordan plays a whole lot of golf as well. He also once spoke to Steph about what the sport means to him.
Michael Jordan Told Stephen Curry That Golf Is The Hardest Sport To Play
For a man as competitive as Jordan, life post-retirement wasn’t going to be a smooth ride. Basketball had meant everything to him, so he had to find something else to keep his competitive juices flowing and that is where golf came in.
Jordan once revealed to Steph that golf is what keeps him sane and that from a competitive standpoint, it is the hardest game to play. MJ felt that golf is like playing in a mirror where one battles themselves consistently to try to get perfection in every swing and putt. Well, if two of the greatest sportsmen ever believe it is the toughest sport to play, then who are we to disagree?
