Michael Jordan and LeBron James remain a hot topic in the NBA, and many fans engage in heated debates every day trying to prove a point of who is the better player. These two have made huge history in the NBA, and are widely considered the best two players ever, with their respective fans often making a case for each of them as the GOAT.

While recently many people claimed that LeBron surpassed MJ after breaking the all-time scoring record, others are wary to make such an assumption about the King and His Airness. Michael Jordan remains a very respected figure around the NBA world, as fans showed last year when he made a surprise appearance at the 2022 All-Star Game.

As for LeBron, things aren’t that easy, and the King learned that this past Sunday when attended the Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Rob Parker Thinks Michael Jordan Remains More Popular Than LeBron James

At some point, LeBron was shown on the jumbotron during the championship game, and many fans booed him at State Farm Stadium. He replied to them with a simple but direct move, making it clear who the King was.

This situation sparked a lot of reactions from people around the NBA world, and Rob Parker took this opportunity to explain why Michael Jordan is still more popular than LeBron James. During a recent edition of The Odd Couple, Parker made the case for Jordan, saying that it was unthinkable to see MJ getting booed that much by a crowd.

🗣️@RobParkerFS1: "They booed LeBron James from the high heavens at the Super Bowl. And you know what it tells you? It tells you that America only recognizes ONE KING, and it's BURGER KING! He can forget thinking he's been elevated over Michael Jordan."

“They booed LeBron James from the high heavens at the Super Bowl. And you know what it tells you? It tells you that America only recognizes ONE KING, and it’s BURGER KING! That’s the only king, not King James, not LeBron James.”

Parker even said that LeBron’s all-time scoring record hasn’t changed anything for him, and Michael Jordan remains the most beloved player of the two.

“LeBron could forget that being the leading scorer all-time has somehow changed the way people view him and somehow elevated him over Michael Jordan.”

This debate hasn’t gotten less intense by any means, and as the seasons go by, more people try to prove their point to others. It’s been said that Jordan and LeBron have nothing but love for each other, yet people insist on pitting them against one another. Everybody has haters, and Michael Jordan isn’t an exception.

Trying to explain this is very complex, and not even a map on Twitter or Rob Parker analyzing a bunch of boos can do it.
