Zach LaVine is one of those players who can instantly improve any team in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls guard has shown his quality over the years, going from being a dunker to one of the best players in his position.

That’s why amid a bad season from the Bulls, Zach has been one of the few good things they’ve had for showing. The former Minnesota Timberwolves player is now linked with a series of teams around the league, and the race for his services could get more intense as the days go by and the trade deadline gets closer.

We’re one week away from this moment, and it’s unclear what’s next for LaVine. The player has shown his commitment to the Bulls, but many executives around the league are keeping tabs on this situation just in the team decides to part ways with him. Recent rumors suggest that they could focus on building around DeMar DeRozan, which could accelerate LaVine’s exit.

Zach LaVine Is A Sought-After Player Ahead Of 2023 Trade Deadline

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports doubles down on this, reporting that several teams around the league will try to make a run for LaVine’s services if he becomes available, with the Los Angeles Lakers leading the pack.

That is why someone like Zach LaVine, the Bulls’ two-time All-Star who’s in the first season of a five-year, $215 million maximum contract, would have no shortage of suitors if Chicago decided to move the 27-year-old guard before next Thursday’s deadline — despite some concern about his recovery process from offseason arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The Lakers, Heat, Knicks and Mavericks have consistently been mentioned by league personnel as holding motivations to land LaVine if the time does arrive.

As stated before, LaVine is one of those players who can do a lot for any team around the league, and executives are well aware of this. Anything could happen in the NBA, and we could be talking about a completely different situation next week. It’s up to the Bulls’ front office to make the player available and see what they can get in return, and many think they should go for it, given how bad their season has been.
