The Chicago Bulls are a team that many people expect to rebuild ahead of the trade deadline. Their core clearly does not have a championship-level ceiling, and they haven’t done well this season either, as they are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The easiest way for the Chicago Bulls to rebuild would be to move one or more of their stars, which include DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic. However, according to K. C. Johnson of NBC Sports, the team is not considering moving any of those three players.

Do you think the Bulls will trade one or more of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine or Nikola Vucevic by the Feb. 9 trade deadline? — John C.

As of this typing, no. That’s certainly the current impression of the rival executives to whom I have spoken.

Of course, this stance from the Chicago Bulls could definitely change based on the team’s performance going into the trade deadline. There are already teams that are interested in acquiring their veterans, and they would have no shortage of trade partners. However, as of right now, it seems as though they are comfortable rolling with their current core.

The Chicago Bulls Want To Move Andre Drummond

Instead of rebuilding, it seems as though the Chicago Bulls could explore some minor trades to bolster their roster. A recent report revealed that the team is considering trading big man Andre Drummond, who has had limited playing time in recent weeks.

Do not be surprised, league sources say, if the Bulls move former All-Star center Andre Drummond before the Feb. 9 trade. Drummond has been allotted fewer than 15 minutes in each of Chicago’s past 12 games.

It will be interesting to see what Andre Drummond would get the Chicago Bulls in a potential trade. He is still a solid rebounder and has some interior finishing ability. Drummond could definitely be a solid backup big for a contending team, and perhaps the Bulls can get a different veteran or draft compensation when trading him. Moving Drummond would be good for both him and the franchise as of right now, and we’ll see if the Bulls are able to find a good deal for him.

Hopefully, we see the Chicago Bulls figure things out going forward in the season. They could be a solid team with a couple of additions, and it’ll be interesting to see what the front office does ahead of this year’s trade deadline.
