LeBron James is evergreen, he is showing again this season that any predictions about his career will be surpassed. The King has been exceeding what people thought he could do since he was in high school, and at the age of 38, that has shown no signs of changing or slowing down. His scoring prowess continues to create new records.

LeBron James is now within touching distance of the big one. He is just over 100 points away from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in scoring all-time. He has been averaging 34 points per game in his last 10 games, and at that rate, he could cross the record in 3 more games even. And he is still doing more impressive things en route to the record, unlocking another achievement after the Celtics win.

LeBron James Is The Points Per Game Leader For The Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, And Los Angeles Lakers

For any player in the NBA, becoming his franchise’s all-time leader in any stat category is a massive honor. But LeBron James is special, and he’s won championships as the main man on 3 different teams. After his 41 points against the Boston Celtics, he has now crossed over 260 games for the Lakers, averaging 27.5 points per game in that span. And that has made him the franchise leader in points per game.

It would be expected that LeBron James would lead the Cleveland Cavaliers in this category, he is the greatest player in the franchise’s history. And he spent two separate stints, both still in his prime, with the Cavaliers. Miami Heat LeBron was built differently, too, and his 26.9 points per game average are well clear of franchise GOAT Dwyane Wade.

It’s doing it for the Los Angeles Lakers, which shows how incredible LeBron James is. He joined the franchise at age 34, and his 27.5 points per game are more than Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Wilt Chamberlain. This is a who’s who of some of history’s greatest scorers, so it’s truly impressive what James has done.

The agenda for the King is clear, he doesn’t care too much about records if his team isn’t winning games. And his mood is likely to be a little foul after the demoralizing loss against the Celtics on Saturday night. But as fans, it’s important to keep track of every record he takes down, his greatness cannot go unappreciated.
