Seeing their favorite basketball players play live in the NBA is a lifelong dream of many fans around the world. Evidently, it leads to many diehard fans traveling thousands of miles to attend live games and fulfill that dream.

One such young Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler fan decided to do just that for the recent game of the organization. The kid even held up a banner saying he traveled over 4,405 miles to watch Butler play. The only thing that the kid wanted was a picture or a ‘Big Face’ coffee. Unfortunately, Butler was ruled out of the game just an hour before tip-off.

The young fan was left heartbroken after learning Butler would miss the game, and his reaction absolutely crushed other fans.

Jimmy Butler Didn’t Disappoint The Young Fan Who Traveled 4,405 Miles To Meet Him

There are times when fans can get too nosy and cross the line when trying to meet their favorite NBA superstars. Fortunately, the young Miami Heat fan did nothing of that sort. As a result, after the game, Butler made sure to make the trip memorable for the fan by giving him a signed basketball and his jersey.

While the kid got gifts from Butler, he still couldn’t get his hands on the ‘Big Face’ coffee. But on the upside, it was revealed that Butler did gift the kid Big Face merchandise. Truly a kind gesture by the Miami Heat superstar.

On a serious note, the organization is currently 27-22 after defeating the Boston Celtics in a thrilling game of basketball. Despite having a positive record, the Heat are still only the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. Keeping that in mind, many have urged the organization to make a few roster upgrades.

But one NBA insider believes the Heat should wait until the offseason to make said moves and don’t rush into making any decisions right now.
