Getting traded to the Washington Wizards in 2021 was the best thing that happened to Kyle Kuzma. It allowed him to show to the world that he was more than just a role player that he had been reduced to on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kuzma was stuck playing third-fiddle to LeBron James and Anthony Davis but once he got a bigger role, he started to shine. He scored 30 points on Tuesday night to lead them to a 3rd straight win as they beat the Dallas Mavericks but a former Wizard on the Mavs took a jab at them after the game. Spencer Dinwiddie went at his former teammates by saying they don’t care about winning and Kuzma fired right back at him.

“The funny thing is they don’t play winning basketball ✌ ✌ ✌ “

The likes of Charles Barkley have said in the past that the Mavericks will not win a championship with their current playstyle. They are just too reliant on Luka Doncic and we have seen over the years that you will ultimately fall short with an offense like that. This was also the 8th loss in the last 11 games for the Mavericks, so Dinwiddie probably shouldn’t be talking about other teams not playing winning basketball.

Kyle Kuzma Spoke On His Long-Term Future With The Wizards

Kuzma has averaged 22.0 PPG, 7.6 RPG, and 4.0 APG while shooting 45.9% from the field, so it is no surprise that there is a lot of interest in him around the league. A lot of teams have been linked to him at this point and it seemed that an exit at the trade deadline was likely.

The Wizards, however, seem keen on holding onto him and have told teams he is not available for trades. They want to sign him to a long-term extension and Kuzma stated that he appreciates it. He still didn’t pledge his future to them though, which makes you think that he does ideally want to go elsewhere. It would be a big loss for the Wizards if he leaves for nothing in the summer and they might be forced to trade him before the deadline.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
