Kyle Kuzma has revived his NBA career this season, posting solid performances with the Washington Wizards, showing the quality he couldn’t show on the Los Angeles Lakers during his first seasons in the league.

After being traded to the Wizards in the trade that sent Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kuzma made the most out of his new opportunity, becoming a good player for the Wizards and earning a lot of attention from other teams around the league, including his former squad.

In recent days, the Chicago Bulls added their names to the list of potential sweepstakes for Kuzma, while the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, and the aforementioned Lakers are also part of this group.

Kyle Kuzma Has Apparently Decided His NBA Future

Knowing that he’s a man in-demand, Kuzma appears to have made up his mind and is ready to leave the Wizards and seek a new home in the association. According to Mo Dakhil of Bleacher Report (via Redditor “ysoy”), the forward wants out of the team, although Washington wants him to stay.

They (the Wizards) really want to re-sign him (Kuzma), and it sounds like he really doesn’t want to re-sign there. He wants to leave. It sounds like he’s definitely dead set on leaving.

If they were smart, they’d make the move (to trade him). Everyone is calling.

The Wizards appear to have a lot right now, as not only Kuzma but Rui Hachimura could leave the squad before the end of the season. The Japanese player wants to be on a team that actually appreciates him, which doesn’t seem to be the Wizards.

As for Kuz, he apparently wants bigger chances to compete while also looking for a $20+ million contract in free agency. It remains to be seen if a team offers him that much money, but Kuz is confident that he can get it either in Washington or somewhere else.
