NBA Fans React To Kevin Durant Potentially Missing A Month Through Injury: “He Was Having An All-Time Season”

Kevin Durant has slowly been rehabilitating his image this season, playing at a level where even his biggest haters can no longer suggest that he’s not an MVP candidate. KD has won it all in the NBA, he’s one of the best scorers in the history of the game, but he was outdoing himself this season.

After the Brooklyn Nets entered the 2022-23 season looking like one of the most dysfunctional teams in the league, not much was expected from them. And sure enough, a Kyrie Irving controversy and a threadbare roster due to injuries later, the Nets found themselves struggling.

Since then, they have picked it up massively, stringing 12 wins together before eventually dropping a game and making it to the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. But now Kevin Durant has been injured, and the latest update suggests he likely won’t return for a month. This has fans all over the league reeling a little.

NBA Fans Are Saddened By The News Of Kevin Durant’s Injury

Kevin Durant has been through a devastating injury just before he became a Net. He bounced back from that to play some of the best basketball of his career. And when he went down this time, there was concern it might be something long again. But with the MCL sprain seeming like it could be done within a month, some fans are optimistic while others have written this season off already.

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain in right knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

“He was having an all-time season, this is a shame.”

“Anytime KD can’t play, hoop fans are struggling bruh.”

“And back to the play-in the Nets go.”

“I hope this is just 3-4 weeks, anything longer than that and the Nets are in trouble.”

“Y’all don’t realize, it’s time for MVP Kyrie.”

“Great news it’s not a severe injury but what i gonna do with 2 weeks of no KD hoops?”

“Kyrie Irving better feast in the Slim Reaper’s absence.”

“This will tell us a lot about the Nets.”

“It better not be longer than this.”

“I’m so over injuries man, let me enjoy the MVP race.”

“That’s his MVP campaign down the drain.”

Kevin Durant may miss a little over 10-12 games with this, which the Nets would probably be okay with. Their other stars and role players have to step up now, especially so that Durant can return from this stretch on the sidelines with the platform to make a run at the championship.
