After a 9-0 start to the season, the Milwaukee Bucks have hit a bit of a rough patch this season. For the past six weeks or so, they’ve been losing some very winnable games, and the Bucks have overall just looked off from the team we watched dominating the league in November.

On Friday, the pattern continued with a rather concerning blowout loss to the Charlotte Hornets, who came into the game with just 10 wins on the season.

After the final buzzer, instead of hanging his head or saying something regrettable, the Greek Freak shared a nugget of wisdom on building good habits and exhibiting restraint through difficult times.

“Have you ever seen the scene from Spongebob where he goes into his brain and he goes crazy and started burning things? I feel like that sometimes, when we lose I feel that,” Giannis said. “But when it happens it’s like no, it’s okay. We are going to lose some games and we are going to win a lot of games. And even though we have not built the perfect habits, we are still second [third] in the East. That’s scary to me. I believe when everybody gets acclimated, people know their role, Joe is feeling good and making plays and Khris come back and Khris is being a mad motherf**ker and we are playing and having fun, I’ll take my chances with those guys any day…”

For as much noise as the Bucks’ struggles have been getting recently, they are still at the top edge of the standings, with one of the best players in the world having another MVP-worthy campaign.

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo The Best Basketball Player In The World?

Say what you want about Giannis, but his game is impossible to stop, and it’s what made the Bucks relevant after years of forgettable seasons.

This year, guys like Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic are proving to be worthy rivals, the Greek freak, but what Antetokounmpo does on both ends of the floor cannot be ignored.

Luka Doncic on if he enjoys playing against Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Enjoy is hard because I want to win. It’s hard to go against a guy like that. He’s the best player in the NBA right now — almost impossible to stop.”

Losers of six in their last 10, the Bucks clearly have some issues to work out before they enter the postseason, but they should be in a good spot once their roster gets fully healthy.

As a proven leader and NBA Champion, Giannis knows what it takes to reach the mountain top, and you can bet it’s going to give him and his team a major advantage when the stakes are highest this postseason.
