The Philadelphia 76ers have gone on an excellent run since James Harden returned following a 14-game absence. The Beard’s first game back was a loss to the Houston Rockets, but the team has since won 8 in a row. The Sixers are just 3 games out of the first seed in the Eastern Conference and keeping pace with the big-hitters at the top.

However, there was a surprising report recently, with Adrian Wojnarowski explaining that James Harden could be open to a move back to the Houston Rockets. Harden saw most of his success in the NBA in Houston, and there have already been many reactions to the report. Harden himself seemed a little baffled by it, considering how well the Sixers have been doing, but he didn’t quite deny the rumors either.

“I’m here,” he stated. “We’re playing very well and I don’t know where that report came from, but I’m excited to be here and we’re playing very well. We’re continuing to get better.”

It’s clear that he is committed to the Sixers for the time being, but one wouldn’t bet against a potential return to the Rockets for the Beard. And some think there is more to the situation than meets the eye, including Jalen Rose.

Jalen Rose Went At James Harden About The Rumors Of Him Wanting To Leave The Sixers

Jalen Rose speaks it as he sees it, he has earned a reputation for that during his time in the media. And he had quite a bit to say on this James Harden to Houston situation, with him calling the beard out a little in the process.

“He didn’t get the long-term big deal he wanted from Philly, so he may be using Houston as leverage. When you talk about a long playoff run, that ain’t happening if he goes back to Houston. See one thing about being a great player, you guys know this, at some point, we have to win because we got you. Okay, so he wanted out of Houston, he got to the Nets, that didn’t work. Wanted out of the Nets, got to the Sixers, let’s see if that works.”

Harden will indeed have flaked on two situations where he had superstar help to win a ring if he does leave the Sixers for the Rockets. But considering that Houston is in a rebuild, it just doesn’t make sense that he would end up going there. The leverage aspect of it that Rose pointed out makes a little more sense, but whatever it may be, Harden needs to commit and make a deep playoff run with his current team before anything else.
