Bojan Bogdanovic is having a nice season with the Detroit Pistons after being traded from the Utah Jazz. He landed in a team full of young players and is thriving right now, becoming a key piece for the Pistons, who are developing their young talent and giving Bojan the freedom he needs to be impactful.

These good performances have drawn attention around the league, and some think a contender could use his services. He has been linked with a move to the Golden State Warriors, but other teams, like the Los Angeles Lakers, could make a run for his services.

Nothing is certain right now, but Bojan keeps turning heads around the league with his good displays despite the Detroit Pistons’ bad record. Right now, he’s averaging 21.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, shooting 49.3% from the field, 42.1% from beyond the arc, and 90.2% from the free-throw line.

Dwane Casey Has Wild Comparison For Bojan Bogdanovic

He’s living a great moment with the Pistons, and some within the organization think he could be headed to the All-Star Game if he keeps this level. Head coach Dwane Casey recently talked about this, making a big comparison between Bogdanovic and three players that have exceeded on the offensive side of the ball. Two are in the Basketball Hall of Fame, and the other is still playing, trying to make history in the league.

“I hope people don’t look at our record as a rebuilding team & punish him. To me, Bogey’s an All-Star. I’ve coached a lot of offensive players in my career — Nowitzki, DeRozan, Kevin Garnett. Offensively, he’s right up there with those guys.”

It’s fair that he’s high on one of his players, but comparing him to two legends of the game and somebody who has been the No. 1 option on his teams is a stretch. Sure, Bojan is really good at what he does, but it’s not like he’s taking the Pistons to fight for the championship this season.

The Pistons sit at 8-25 right now, looking like serious candidates to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Bojan, meanwhile, keeps thriving, and it won’t be long before we see him competing on a different team.
