Anthony Edwards is one of the most promising young players in the league. He is an athletic shooting guard that is already proficient at scoring on all three levels. This past season, Anthony Edwards had an All-Star-caliber year, averaging 21.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 3.8 APG.

Recently, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala lauded Anthony Edwards, claiming that Edwards is simply “different”. He pointed out that he has similarities to Dwyane Wade, who was the guest on his podcast, and added that Anthony Edwards has “got it”.

He did an in and out, and there was absolutely nothing I could do. This kid, he’s different. He’s like you (Dwyane Wade), when he can change those directions, and he can split pick and rolls, and he’s explosive coming out of it. It’s insane.

All he needs is two months of Miami Heat basketball. It’s over. He’s got it man. That Kid’s got it, and he can shoot it too.

There’s no question that many people think very highly of Anthony Edwards. At one point, former teammate Patrick Beverley even compared him to Michael Jordan, pointing out that his “talent level and skill level is crazy”.

I told him… you got a chance brother, to be Michael Jordan. The kid doesn’t indulge in anything negative… just all positivity. His talent level and skill level is crazy, he has a chance to be really, really, really special, really special in this league.

Obviously, Anthony Edwards most likely won’t become Michael Jordan. It is hard to imagine any player in the league currently being able to become as great as the Chicago Bulls legend.

However, it is quite possible that he will become a fantastic player, perhaps even an MVP in the future. All Anthony Edwards has to do is keep working, and his ceiling is already limitless.
