Russell Westbrook is currently not having a good idea. After a poor 2021-22 NBA season, Russ had to shoulder most of the blame for the Lakers’ struggles. Of course, he could have played better, but blaming everything on him was certainly unfair to the former NBA MVP.

As a result, it’s all but confirmed that Westbrook will soon be getting traded to another team. Most believe that he will be included in a trade for Kyrie Irving, whom the Lakers are trying to get on board. Anyway, due to these trade rumors, Westbrook has been in the headlines almost every day for all the wrong reasons.

For a change, Brodie’s recent tweets are trending, and the reason is very wholesome. Russ released his new shoes with the Jordan brand dubbed as “Mama’s Style.”

My mom is who first got me into fashion & nobody can shop & find a deal like her! This shoe is inspired by her & all the times we would go shopping at all the Swap Meets in la. She had a favorite line that I still use lol…”WE CANT BE THAT PRICE”.

Westbrook has always been criticized for his fashion choices. To be honest, he might have a fashion sense that can be considered a tad bit different than most people would consider usual, but that’s his choice.

Now that fans have learned that it was Russ’ mother who got him into fashion and he launched a shoe inspired by her, maybe the fans will try to keep their insults about it to themselves.
