Playing for the Los Angeles Lakers is usually a dream come true for most NBA players. The Lakers are one of the most successful and iconic franchises in the history of the league. Many NBA legends have donned the legendary Purple and Gold jerseys during their careers.

However, for former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, his stint with the Lakers has been nothing but disappointing. He was brought to the Lakers last season to essentially create an NBA superteam as Russ partnered up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

On paper, this partnership sounded extremely dangerous, but in reality, the three players couldn’t even play many games together. On top of that, Westbrook’s individual performances were far from good. He has never looked comfortable playing for the Lakers.

To make things worse, Brodie also opted into his $47 million player option and this has made it tough for the Lakers to trade him. Although Lakers’ newly appointed head coach Darvin Ham seems keen to include Westbrook in his future plans, Lakers fans have already moved on from him.

In fact, fans even chanted ‘We Want Kyrie’ when Russell Westbrook was present in the arena for a recent Summer League game. Russ’ trade rumors gained further traction when one NBA fan found out that Westbrook’s jersey was spotted at a clearance sale.

Obvious a lot of fans thought that these Westbrook jerseys were planted here to gain some views on Twitter. The fan who tweeted the above-attached picture cleared the air about it as well.

Some fans still believed that these jerseys were planted despite the fan providing proof that wasn’t the case.

On the other hand, many fans pointed out this could be a legitimate sign that Russ is soon going to get traded elsewhere. Fans pointed out this had happened earlier when LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anyway, it could all just be a coincidence as well, but who knows?
