Luka Doncic addressed the Los Angeles Lakers‘ tough schedule after their 126-106 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. He noted that never in his time in the NBA has he experienced a scheduling period as difficult as the one that the Lakers face over this eight-day stretch.

However, he did add that he and the team must get through it the best they can, but he stayed quiet when asked about his status for tomorrow’s game against the Nuggets.

“I don’t think I’ve ever went through something like that. But at the end of the day, we’re getting paid to do that, and there shouldn’t be any excuses that you’re tired. You live for this. Just gotta have great recovery after every game and just keep going.”

The Lakers have a grueling schedule from the 13th of March to the 20th of March, which you can check out below:

13th March 2025 – Milwaukee Bucks (A) – 126-106 (Loss)

14th March 2025 – San Antonio Spurs (A)

16th March 2025 – Phoenix Suns (H)

17th March 2025 – San Antonio Spurs (H)

19th March 2025 – Denver Nuggets (H)

20th March 2025 – Milwaukee Bucks (H)

With their first loss in this six-game stretch, the Lakers will have to do their best to make sure that this run of games does not prove to be too damaging to their long-term aspirations this season. This run of form must be the Lakers’ opportunity to prove that they can compete for an NBA championship this season.

Currently, the Lakers are without a few key players, such as LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, and Jaxson Hayes. Both James and Hachimura are currently listed as day-to-day, which means that they could make their return very soon. But until they’re back, it is up to the rest of the Lakers to shoulder the load during this stretch.

Luka Doncic did his best to try and win the Lakers the game tonight, putting up an incredible 45 points (14-27 FG), 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block. But despite his best efforts, the Lakers were not able to get the win against a far superior Bucks team.

With the Lakers now holding a 40-24 record, they have just 18 games left to try and secure the best record possible. Currently, they sit fourth in the Western Conference behind the Nuggets (whom they play twice during this six-game stretch) and the Grizzlies. On top of that, the fifth-seed Rockets are just one game behind them in the standings and could easily make up that gap during this time.

This is going to be the toughest test the Lakers will experience in the regular season. Getting through this stretch without incurring too much damage in the standings is the priority, as the Lakers need all the advantage they can get heading into what will be a tough playoff run. JJ Redick will have to formulate a plan to ensure that the Lakers continue on the right path.
