The New Orleans Pelicans drafted Zion Williamson with the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Even before entering the league, Williamson was already labeled as the next big thing in the NBA. Fans and experts alike had huge expectations from the freak of nature.

For what it’s worth, he proved that he can be really dominant during his college days. But his stint in the NBA hasn’t been full of success. It’s not that he is a bad player, it’s the fact that he hasn’t played many games to truly measure his true potential.

He has technically been in the league for three seasons but has played a grand total of just 85 games. Zion was sidelined for the entire 2021-22 NBA season due to a foot injury and was criticized various times throughout the season for not taking care of his health.

But it seems like Zion is all set to tear the league apart in the upcoming season. Recently, the 21-year-old made a huge announcement on Instagram. He announced that the Air Jordan Brand will be releasing the second signature shoe dubbed “Zion 2”

“Locked in @jumpman23 Proud to announce my 2nd signature shoe is here. This spring, I trained on campus and now it’s time to show y’all what I been up to. The #Zion2 available tomorrow.”

Looking at the caption of the Instagram post, it seems that Zion has issued a stern warning to the rest of the NBA about his return.

To be honest, Williamson has the talent to become one of the best players of this generation. The only thing that he needs to take care of is his health and he is almost destined for incredible success in the league. Will Zion be able to dominate the league this season? We will find out soon.
