Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the league, and most people would consider him the best. He is a two-way force that has an elite impact on the game.

This season, Giannis Antetokounmpo made the 1st team on both All-NBA and All-Defensive squads, and there’s no doubt that this is a fantastic achievement for him. Antetokounmpo reacted to his success, stating that he refuses “to take things for granted”, showing his humble nature:

While some people have stated that Giannis Antetokounmpo wouldn’t have the same success in previous eras, there’s no doubt that he would find a way to be elite in any time period. Isiah Thomas has previously claimed that Antetokounmpo would be an MVP even in the 90s, even though it is known as a more physical era:

I remember in the 80s, there was a guy named Ralph Sampson… before Ralph Sampson got hurt, I remember Bill Russell saying Ralph Sampson could be the best basketball player ever because of his skill set… Giannis is today’s Ralph Sampson.

All these guys talking about when Giannis couldn’t play and all that. Dude, Giannis going around Oakley, Giannis going around all them, he dunking on them. He bigger, he faster, he stronger.

You can talk all that stuff because you don’t play no more, because you got gray hair, sitting on the sidelines smoking a cigar talking about what you used to do, but he would dog you every single time. You may hit him hard, but after you hit him hard, you got no game.

You ain’t got nothing but a hit? I’m ready to mess over you. All y’all stop it… We ain’t never see no dude like this. Give him his props, give him his credit. He would dog anybody in the 80s, 90s, 00s, & in 3020 when we get there.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has already managed to win a championship, and perhaps he will be able to win more in the future. While he failed to do so this season, we can expect him to be back with a vengeance next year.

The Milwaukee Bucks should still be a contender next season if all their key players end up staying healthy. Hopefully, that ends up happening, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo, they will always have a good chance of winning it all.
