The Golden State Warriors have won a crucial Game 3 against the Dallas Mavericks and have virtually booked their place in the NBA Finals. The Mavericks just couldn’t compete outside Luka Doncic’s scoring heroics and they slumped to the loss. Stephen Curry had a sensational performance with 31 points and 11 assists, with multiple clutch buckets.

Curry seems destined to go to his 6th NBA Finals where he will look to win his fourth title. But the conversation is skipping a step, as the Mavericks are still playing a series and need to lose on more time. This is something that the veteran Curry fully understands.

In his post-game interview, Curry openly expressed his joy at being 3-0 up and the Warriors’ push to close it out in Game 4 but also recognized that the job is not done until the team is in the ground after the game.

“When you’re up 2-0 and come on the road to stranglehold control of this series, that’s huge. We obviously know the job is not done, but it’s a good feeling to know we came and got a win and now we can put house money on Tuesday where we get it done.”

The Warriors are taking over the series and Curry has been surprisingly understated, The Warriors have received massive performances from Kevon Looney and Andrew Wiggins in the Conference Finals and their performances have been the X-Factor in these wins.

However, Curry has kept a model of consistency to make sure Golden State is in a healthy position each game. His shooting has been inconsistent, especially from the free-throw line, but he is having an impact on every other aspect of the game, including defense. If the Warriors keep this rhythm going into the Finals, the fourth title may become reality.
