Draymond Green Says The Warriors Are Currently Worse With Him On The Floor: “That’s Kind Of Where We Are Right Now. Some Things I Can Correct, Some Things Will Come With Time.”

For the most part of the 2021-22 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors were one of the best teams in the world. But looking at their recent performances, one cannot say the same for the Dubs.

Following their most recent defeat against the Washington Wizards, the Warriors have now lost the last 5 of their 6 fixtures in the NBA. Although one of the reasons for this poor run of form is the absence of Stephen Curry, one cannot put the entire blame on his shoulder.

First-time All-Star Andrew Wiggins has struggled after the 2022 All-Star game as his production has gone down in all departments. To make things worse, the Warriors’ veteran forward Draymond Green has seemed to hit a slump.

Ever since returning from the injury, Green hasn’t played like himself, which is shocking since he was playing some pretty great basketball before his injury. After the Warriors were defeated by the Wizards, Green reflected on his recent performances and was critical of himself.

“I’ve never really been on a team that gets worse when I’m on the floor. That’s kind of where we are right now. Some things I can correct, some things will come with time.”

Usually, Green is someone who can contribute to a game in various ways. Unfortunately, as of now, nothing is going in the favor of the 4x NBA All-Star.

Currently, the Warriors have a record of 48-27, which is not bad by any means. But keeping in mind that Stephen Curry is still down with a foot injury, the Warriors would not want to lose many games.

After all, it can have an adverse effect on the team’s morale when the 2022 postseason begins. If Steph doesn’t return in time for the playoffs, the likes of Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Klay Thompson will have to step up their game.

Keeping that in mind, fans will hope Green will soon find a way out of this slump so he can go back to helping the Dubs win games.
