LeBron James Reveals His Post-Game Routine: “I Go Home, Drink Wine Or Drink Tequila Every Night And If I’m At My House In LA, I’m Watching A Movie With The Kids.”

NBA players are just like most of us, a fact that’s easy to forget considering the level of wealth and celebrity that they enjoy, especially the superstars. LeBron James has set himself up with generational wealth throughout his 19-year career in the NBA with his achievements of the court and shrewd investments off it, but when it comes to relaxing daily, it seems the King is no different than a lot of normal people.

LeBron opened up on his post-game routine specifically in the context of what he does to avoid the sort of criticism and vitriol that’s been sent the way of his Los Angeles Lakers following their disappointing performances this season. James said that instead of paying attention to these things, he has a drink of wine and tequila at home or spends time with his family.

“At my point in my career, I don’t get involved in that stuff. I don’t read about it, I don’t hear it too much. I go home, drink wine or tequila every night and if I’m at my house in LA, I’m watching a movie with the kids or I’m playing Madden. None of that (narrative) stuff matters to me. I’m having a blast playing the game of basketball. Like I said the other night, I get frustrated and angry from losses and things we could have done better and things of that nature, but sh*t, I mean once I leave the arena I’ll leave it there…”

The Lakers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, an excellent result for a team that had fallen to the 10th seed in the Western Conference. With Russell Westbrook finding form and LeBron James somehow leading the league in scoring in his 19th year, things are starting to look slightly better for the Lakers. And if wine, tequila, and Madden lead to explosive moments like this dunk on Kevin Love, long may it continue!
