Luka Doncic Says Kevin Durant Is His Favorite Player To Watch: “If You See Him, You Know, You Could Say Everybody Can Do It, But Only He Can Do It, Man.”

Luka Doncic is one of the most entertaining players in the NBA after all the good things he’s done with the Dallas Mavericks. It’s been four years since he made it to the league and Luka just gets better every season.

This one, he’s playing at a great level again, earning MVP recognition. However, he’s not focused on individual accolades right now. He wants to win an NBA championship and has set his sights on that goal. It won’t be easy, but the Slovenian player doesn’t back down to any challenge.

The competition is huge this season, and the player is well aware of that. Yet, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy watching other players and recently revealed his favorite star to watch. Talking with JJ Redick and Tommy Alter on ‘The Old Man and the Three’ podcast, Doncic revealed his favorite player to see (35:33).

“Oh, there’s a lot. But I think No. 1 is KD, man. Been watching him play. Looks way too easy. It’s just unbelievable, man. … It just looks too easy. If you see him, you know, you could say everybody can do it, but only he can do it, man. It’s just unbelievable the way he scores the ball.”

Doncic just faced Durant earlier this week, dropping 37 points on his Brooklyn Nets, confirming he’s a menace for the rest of the league.

Moreover, when talking about his goals with the Mavs, he stated that winning the MVP would be good, but that’s not the ultimate goal. He wants to go for the championship and emulate what Dirk Nowitzki did in 2011 when he led the Mavericks to the ultimate NBA honor.

“Well, obviously, there’s one thing: NBA championship. That’s all I wanted. That’s all I want. That’s my goal, and that’s the only goal I have. And I hope one day it happens. That’s making the jump.”

Luka has a bright future. He’s only 22 and every season, he gets better. Some say Luka has GOAT potential and the former Real Madrid star can become a bigger legend than Dirk. Other people think he could have a run similar to Nowitzki this year, but time will tell if he’s able to go through the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz in the Western Conference.

After two seasons failing to make it past the first round of the playoff, Doncic is ready to compete for more.
