Talking about the most dominant players in the history of the NBA, one cannot leave the legendary Wilt Chamberlain off the list. Wilt was a generational talent and had many records to his name. He stood at 7’1″ and manhandled the opposing players with ease.
One of his biggest achievements was scoring 100 points in a game. Which, by the way, still remains the highest points scored by a single player in a game in NBA history. While most fans and sports pundits hailed that as an important milestone in Wilt’s career, he personally revealed that scoring 100 points wasn’t that important to him.
Regardless, today our focus is not on Chamberlain’s ability to score points or dominate opponents. Instead, we will be focusing on an interview by the late legend off the court.
In the interview, Wilt talked about his love for lemonades and his habit of drinking at least a gallon of lemonade each day. Here is what Chamberlain said:
“I drink at least a gallon of lemonade, fresh squeezed lemonade, every day. … I make the best lemonade in the history of the world. The key is to get the oil out of the skin. … You get the oil, the essence of the oil out of the lemons. So it’s not just the juice, you take the lemons and put them in a bowl and you kind of like mash down a little bit to get the oil out of the skin. … I have lemon trees on my property
Wilt went on and on talking about his love for lemonades. So much so that the channel even tried to cut for commercial but Wilt kept going.
Stories like this one about Wilt and other NBA legends are rare and it helps fans in connecting with their idols.
