Kevin Durant is well-known as one of the best scorers to ever play the game of basketball. There’s no doubt that he is widely considered the best scorer in the league, due to his ability to get his buckets from all three levels, and score on almost any defender effectively. Currently, Kevin Durant is averaging 29.3 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 5.7 APG.

During the Brooklyn Nets’ recent game against the Boston Celtics, Kevin Durant put up 37 points. That has allowed him to crack 25,000 total points, but it seems as though the star forward has bigger goals in mind. When speaking to the media, Kevin Durant simply stated that he should be at 30,000 points currently, but added that “it’s cool to reach that milestone and be among the greats”.

That’s pretty cool. I should be at 30 right now. … It’s cool to reach that milestone and be amongst the greats. I just got to keep pushing and keep going and see where I end up.

There is no doubt that Kevin Durant is a player that many people view as a top-15 player of all time. In fact, some, like Anthony Edwards even view him as the GOAT of basketball.

“Ever. ‘Cause he’s [Durant] 7-feet and can do everything a point guard can do… He make people miserable when they gotta guard him.”

Kevin Durant has accomplished a lot in his career, and he still has time to add to his resume. The Brooklyn Nets have struggled this season, but his individual brilliance has been undeniable.

As of now, Kevin Durant’s primary focus will be on helping the Brooklyn Nets make the playoffs. They are a play-in tier team currently, and there’s no question that the talent on the team suggests that they should be better. While they’re not a contender currently, they should not be counted out while Kevin Durant is on their roster.
