The Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is definitely one of the best players to ever step on the hardwood in NBA history. The league recognized it as Steph was a part of the NBA Top 75 list.
However, Curry was placed at the #16 spot on the list. While some believe that he is ranked at an appropriate number, others not so much. Even among them, the most vocal to defend Curry’s case is none other than the ever-so-famous NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith.
Smith has made it abundantly clear that he believes Steph deserves a place on the list of top 10 NBA players of all time. But Smith’s take has been repeatedly opposed by Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.
Since the departure of Max Kellerman, ESPN has been constantly on the search to pair up Smith with a great co-host. As of now, there have been several rotating names trying their luck against Smith, but it seems like Russo deserves that place.
For the first time in a while, Steph A. was on his heels during a debate. It felt like Russo overwhelmed Smith and ultimately it generated an all-out screaming battle between the two.

The two went back and forth while screaming at the top of their lungs. Regardless of what the two were saying, fans certainly loved it. During one instant, Russo’s earpiece fell down and the expressions on Smith’s face were priceless.
Anyhow, the crux of the debate was around the fact that Russo asked Smith will he choose Curry over the likes of Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, or Bill Russell for a series where Smith had to put his life at stake.
Smith was pushed back and after some thought, he picked the above-mentioned 4 players over Curry, with a smile on his face.
It is safe to assume that Russo won this round. But knowing Smith, he will be back for more and trying to once again prove his point about the position of Stephen Curry on the top 10 NBA list.
