Kristaps Porzingis Is Excited To Play With Bradley Beal: “I Think It’s Going To Be Extremely Fun.”

Kristaps Porzingis was traded to the Washington Wizards at the trade deadline, in a deal that sent Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans to the Dallas Mavericks. The Wizards seemingly traded for Kristaps Porzingis in an attempt to pair him with Bradley Beal, though it remains to be seen if Bradley Beal ends up staying in Washington this upcoming offseason, as he’ll be a free agent.

Despite the uncertainty, it seems as though Kristaps Porzingis is excited at the prospect of playing with Bradley Beal. He claimed that “it’s going to be extremely fun” and added that Bradley Beal is “dynamic” and “knows the game”. Mike Deprisco of NBC Sports Washington relayed the news.

“[Beal’s] incredible. He’s one of those guys that takes a lot of attention away from everybody else in a good way,” Porzingis told NBCSW’s Chris Miller. “I also look forward to doing that, coming in here, taking the attention away so other guys can free up and shoot, and create for my teammates. Playing with Brad, I think it’s going to be extremely fun. He’s dynamic, he knows the game, he has a lot of experience in the playoffs and I think the sooner we were able to get on [the floor], even if it’s practice floor together and start talking and start getting a feel for each other, the better off we’ll be.”

There is no doubt that Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis could potentially form a top-tier duo if Bradley Beal decides to remain in Washington after this season. Kristaps Porzingis is a versatile big man that can shoot well and has some guard-like skills, and perhaps he can be that No. 2 option behind Bradley Beal.

Bradley Beal has previously stated his desire to build a legacy with the Washington Wizards, and perhaps the Kristaps Porzingis trade could have been a building block towards that goal. Hopefully, we see Bradley Beal return to the team, and run it back with the franchise that drafted him.
