Charles Barkley Says The Brooklyn Nets With Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, And Ben Simmons Will Be The ‘Scariest Thing In The NBA’

The Brooklyn Nets made one of the biggest trades in recent NBA history when they sent former MVP James Harden and Paul Millsap to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond, and Seth Curry. The Nets got one of the best young defenders in the NBA, and are going to be pairing him with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, two of the best offensive players in the NBA today.

Simmons is a great passer and can find his teammates with great ease. And given the skilled shooters the Nets have, the franchise has the ideal floor spacing for a player like Simmons, something that will allow them to capitalize on his strengths and hide his weaknesses, especially when it comes to shooting.

And NBA legend Charles Barkley seems to believe that the Brooklyn Nets are one of the favorites to win the NBA championship. During last night’s episode of Inside The NBA on TNT, Charles Barkley said that the Brooklyn Nets with Durant, Irving, and now Ben Simmons will be one of the scariest things in the NBA.

Barkley also praised Simmons’ former teammate Joel Embiid, calling him the MVP for the season.

Simmons could be the final piece that allows the Brooklyn Nets to win the NBA championship, as he is one of the best defenders in the league, and the Nets have needed a player like him. If things go to plan, the Nets could be the most formidable team in the NBA and become the standout favorites to win the NBA championship.

With the All-Star break coming up, Durant and Simmons will get a little bit of time to recover. Simmons has not played during the entire season and will need time to ramp up. Whereas Durant is currently recovering from an injury and is expected to return sometime after the All-Star break. Hopefully, we get to see this trio in action soon.
