Golden State Warriors star Andrew Wiggins has been rewarded for an excellent season with a selection to the All-Star game as a starter. Wiggins has been quite good for the Warriors this season, but his inclusion as a starter has riled up several fans, who feel it is undeserved. While there are valid arguments on both sides of this particular argument, Wiggins himself doesn’t seem too bothered.
Speaking to the press after the Warriors beat the Brooklyn Nets, Wiggins spoke about how he felt about the reactions from NBA fans and some media members who don’t believe that he deserves the honor. His assertion that he only really cares about playing and doing things his way shows the maturity that the 26-year-old now possesses.
"I come in here, I hoop, I go home, play with my kids and my daughter and sleep in that order."

“I mean, you hear it, but, I came a long way. Had a lot of ups and downs and, you know, I come in here, I hoop, I go home, play with my kids and my daughter, and sleep in that order.
“So, like I said, I just hoop, you know. I don’t really worry about the outside mess.”
His reaction to the situation exemplifies the confidence he has in himself, something that is surely a factor in his game going to the next level. Wiggins has been averaging 18.2 points per game but doing so on great efficiency, shooting 48.5% from the field and an excellent 41.4% from three-point range. His contribution to the Warriors has been immense this season, propelling them to an excellent 37-13 record and the 3rd seed in the Western Conference.
Wiggins had 24 points and 8 boards as the Warriors beat the Nets on Saturday night, another quietly stellar performance for the All-Star. While people may continue to complain about seeing him start over the likes of Karl Anthony-Towns and Luka Doncic, Wiggins is unlikely to care as long as he can keep helping his team win.
