It’s not a secret that Anthony Edwards is one of the future faces of the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves standout has shown his quality during his first two seasons in the league, becoming one of the most electrifying and promising young ballers in the association.

Besides his entertaining style of play, Edwards is one of the funniest players out there. He’s very outspoken about his achievements and all the things he wants to accomplish during his career, comparing himself to huge figures to explain how good he is.

After the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Portland Trail Blazers 109-107 on Tuesday night, Ant-Man finished with 40 points and 9 rebounds to lead his squad to the promised land. Following the game, the young guard was asked about his feeling about the game and how great it felt to have a 40-point match.

“I feel like Black Jesus, yeah,” the second-year player said while teammate D’Angelo Russell laughed at his comment.

Ant: "I feel like Black Jesus, yeah."

D'Angelo: "I'm gonna sit back for this one." LOL

Edwards is something else and he boasts huge confidence in himself, talking about his plans in the league. He wants to be an MVP award winner in the future and it’s working to achieve that.

Minnesota has improved its level this campaign, led by their Big 3 of Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell. The future of the franchise looks promising, with Edwards leading the pack in the next couple of years.

At this moment, they rank 7th in the Western Conference with a 24-23 record. This spot would take them to the play-in tournament, which is great for a squad that mightily struggled last season.

Ant is already making some noise this season and we can’t wait to see what’s next for one of the most entertaining players in the NBA right now.
