The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another embarrassing loss on Saturday night, this time at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. Nikola Jokic and co. made a statement, demolishing the Purple and Gold at Ball Arena, winning every quarter of the game.

Denver blew out Los Angeles 133-96, sending them home with a 21-22 record. Everybody had something to say about the team’s performance, including legends Magic Johnson and James Worthy, who heavily criticized the players for their lack of effort.

Russell Westbrook also called out his teammates, while fans blasted the team for losing so terribly. All these people expressed their opinion, but the team’s superstar didn’t say a word following the game. LeBron James, the Lakers’ best scorer of the night, refused to speak to the media after the game was over.

LeBron James didn't speak tonight, which rarely happens.

This decision opened the door for speculation, with fans guessing what this means for James and the rest of the Lakers. Most comments suggest Bron is getting ready to blow up the Lakers’ roster and start over ahead of the trade deadline. Some players haven’t performed as expected for the Lakers, and Bron could be thinking about what changes need to be made to turn things around.

Good cause he was the biggest issue on the court. He plays no defense anymore left open 3's all night never rotated and decided he would just shoot more 3's then anyone else. Until LBJ decides to play some fking D this team isn't doing shit. I am sick of LBJ shooting 3's

To embarrassed to talk after getting blown out by 40.. love LeBron but season failure is on him he’s the one who approved westbrick coming to the lakers.. I bet you that if he stayed with the same players of last season they would have a much better record

Make sure you tell him to keep that same narrative energy. 😂🤣 pic.twitter.com/C5Aqk1Knf6

he should be pissed. He did his part. and his team mates slack. Biggest one is Russ.

We need some LeTrades

Don't feel sorry for him. He put himself n this situation. I feel sorry for true #Laker fans. This isn't the Laker way. Bron came 2 LA for the narrative. Got a Mickey mouse ring, Now its abt building his brand. He's going to leave the Lakers in shambles just like he did the Cavs

— its_on (@itson10000) January 16, 2022

Those loses getting to him! He's playing his heart out at 37 and they may not even make the playoffs! Also deep down he gotta be feeling bad for believing in Russ and AD injuries keep happening.

can't face the media in shame. meanwhile, other superstars like him that were in the same situation still speaks to the media.

Some people compared this situation to the 2018 Cleveland Cavaliers. That team also struggled to get things going, which led the front office to make a big trade, sending out a lot of players and landing others. This could happen this season, too, seeing how bad the Lakers have performed in the first three months of competition.

The trade deadline strikes February 10. The Lakers’ front office has time to study what they really want and how to move some players that haven’t brought anything to the squad.
