LeBron James and Ja Morant went off on Sunday night in the Los Angeles Lakers-Memphis Grizzlies game at Crypto.com Arena. The Grizzlies snapped the Lakers’ 4-game winning streak with a great performance that helped them hold the W even after scoring 1 point in the last 8 minutes of the game

Their respective stars showed why they belong to the elite of the league, with Bron going for 35 points, while Ja dropped 16 to help his squad. The point guard exceeded on the defensive end, recording one of the best blocks we’ve seen in the league this season

The last couple of weeks has been terrific for these two. The Grizzlies have won nine consecutive games, and even though the Lakers couldn’t get past them on Sunday night, LeBron was on a tear in recent games. Both players have earned MVP buzz thanks to these performances and one legend named them candidates for the coveted award after such impressive displays.

In the wake of the Grizzlies’ 127-119 win over the Lakers, Magic Johnson gave props to Morant and James, calling them MVP candidates.

Last night I watched two guys that should be considered in the MVP race, @Lakers LeBron James and Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.

Moreover, he explained why they both deserve consideration for the prize, first praising LeBron’s recent run with the 17-time NBA champions.

For the last three weeks, no one in the NBA has played better than LeBron James. He has more 30-point games than anybody this season with 18 and is averaging 30 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field.

As for Ja, Johnson talked about how electrifying the young point guard is and how well he’s played since entering the league in the 2019 NBA draft.

Ja Morant is must-see-TV and has taken over as the most exciting player in the league averaging 24 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds!

Morant and LeBron made it to the latest NBA’s MVP ladder thanks to their incredible performances. The young playmaker has gotten better every season and some people, like Kendrick Perkins, think he could be as good as Michael Jordan. Ja has led the Grizzlies to a shocking 4th seed in the West.

As for James, he keeps demonstrating he’s on another level. At age 37, playing his 19th season, LeBron is still dominating, carrying his team to the 7th seed in the Western Conference.
