DeMarcus Cousins may not be a top-tier big man anymore, but he is still a solid rotational player. During his most recent 17-game stint with the Milwaukee Bucks, Cousins averaged 9.1 PPG and 5.8 RPG, which are good numbers for a role player.

Despite his solid play, DeMarcus Cousins was released by the Milwaukee Bucks. However, it seems as though he may not have to wait long to join another team. Shams Charania of The Athletic has recently revealed that the Denver Nuggets plan to sign DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract.

The Denver Nuggets are planning to sign free agent center DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract, sources tell The Athletic and Stadium

If the Denver Nuggets do indeed end up signing DeMarcus Cousins, he could definitely be a productive offensive player coming off the bench behind Nikola Jokic. Cousins is definitely deserving of a 10-day contract, and if he gets signed and plays well on that 10-day, then perhaps we could see him get signed for the whole season by the Nuggets.

While injuries may have sapped some of DeMarcus Cousins’ athleticism, he can still provide an impact, especially on a team like the Denver Nuggets that need some offensive firepower for the roster. He is one of the best scorers in Sacramento Kings history, and while he won’t have to play at a star level for the Nuggets, some supplementary scoring for bench lineups will definitely be beneficial for the team.

Hopefully, we see the Nuggets and DeMarcus agree on a contract sooner rather than later, and the Denver Nuggets, and it has definitely been good to see the former star get another opportunity in the league.
