LeBron James has been involved in several GOAT debates, as everyone in the NBA has given their take on who should be considered the greatest player between him and Michael Jordan. Former teammate Iman Shumpert chose MJ over LeBron but has continually heaped praises on LBJ for his understanding of the game.

It was an incredible Christmas Day bout at the Crypto.com Arena as the LA Lakers hosted the Brooklyn Nets. Although it ended in a loss for the Purple and Gold, it was a record-breaking night for King James.

Longevity has played a significant role in his achievements, as he has played for 19 years. Regardless of the length of time he’s played, his ability to produce at a high-level consistently has put him in a league of his own.

Last night, he set a new record for most points on Christmas Day, surpassing Kobe Bryant’s 395 points. His one block in the game also put him in elite company, becoming one of three players in NBA history to rank in the top 100 in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and three-pointers made.

LeBron is currently ranked 3rd in points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone. With how effective he has been, he could surpass Karl Malone this season for second place on the all-time scoring list.

In the rebounds category he is ranked 42nd, 8th in assists, 11th in steals, 100th blocks, and 11th in three-pointers made. LeBron still has at least two seasons to play in the NBA, which means he could move up the rankings in each of these categories.

The other two players in this exclusive list include Malone and Kevin Garnett. KG is ranked 18th on the scoring leaderboard, and Malone is ranked 2nd.

James’ LA Lakers has been struggling since the start of the season, despite LeBron’s brilliance. King James is averaging 27.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists.
