Jimmy Butler’s Agent Blasts Stan Van Gundy On Twitter For Comparing Butler’s Absence To Anthony Davis: “How Did We Get Dragged Into This?!??”

Jimmy Butler’s agent fired back at former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy for comparing his client’s absence to Anthony Davis. The latter recently suffered a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for four weeks, setting the alarms for the already struggling Los Angeles Lakers.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat star is currently sidelined due to a tailbone injury, being one of the team’s absences alongside PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris. The Heat have managed to keep the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference, but having Jimmy on the court is very important for them.

In recent hours, Van Gundy revealed an interesting stat regarding Butler and Davis. The pair have missed an almost identical number of games in the last three seasons, with AD missing 49 matches, one more than Butler.

While most people could think this is an interesting stat, others didn’t consider it appropriate, including Butler’s agent, who took a shot at Van Gundy, calling him ‘evil’ for dragging his client into a conversation that had nothing to do with him.

How did we get dragged into this?!?? DONT YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME STAN VAN BOBBY… DONT YOU PUT THAT ON US…

Van Gundy has been active comparing players’ situations. A couple of days ago, he did it with Zion Williamson and Joel Embiid, reminding people that the Philadelphia 76ers superstar didn’t play as many games as Zion during his first three seasons.

Stan is trying to give people some perspective on these situations, but not everybody is taking things the right way. Curiously, Butler and Davis made the NBA Finals for the first time the same season, right after changing teams.

There are more similarities between these two, including the almost identical number of missed games. Yet, fans constantly go after Davis. Comparisons will always be hateful and Butler’s agent proved that.
