Anthony Edwards Has Big Praise For LaMelo Ball: “I Love His Game. No Problem With Him.”

2 Min Read

On Friday night, we saw the first duel in the NBA between Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball, probably the two best players in the 2020 NBA draft. These two went at it when their teams clashed and it was a very entertaining game, with both players having good performances but Melo won the game in the end.

During the 1st quarter of the game, they exchanged some baskets, demonstrating their quality. This was a highly anticipated duel and it’s fair to say it didn’t disappoint. Before the game started, Edwards was asked about the youngest Ball brother, and he revealed he was a big fan of Melo, although he doesn’t meet him personally.

“I love his game but I have never met him,” he said, via Lonzo Wire. “We’ve been on calls together stuff because we both were potential No. 1 picks but I’ve never met him. But…I love his game. No problem with him.”

At some point before the draft, Melo appeared to be the favorite to be selected No. 1 overall by the Timberwolves but they decided to go with Edwards instead. Ball would go to the Hornets with the No. 3 overall pick, where he’s now enchanting everybody.

Ball finished the game with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists while Edwards posted 21 points with 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the Hornets’ 120-115 win over the struggling T-Wolves.
