Anthony Edwards is viewed as one of the most exciting young players in the league. Many have praised his explosive athleticism and scoring ability. Currently, Anthony Edwards is averaging 21.0 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 3.7 APG, while shooting 35.1% from beyond the arc.

There is definitely a lot to like about Anthony Edwards’ game, and there are a lot of people who have expressed confidence about his future. Teammate Patrick Beverley even claimed that Anthony Edwards has a chance to become Michael Jordan.

I told him… you got a chance brother, to be Michael Jordan. The kid doesn’t indulge in anything negative… just all positivity. His talent level and skill level is crazy, he has a chance to be really, really, really special, really special in this league.

One of the traits that the majority of all-time greats have is their confidence. There is no doubt that Anthony Edwards has confidence in his own abilities, and a recent quote shows just how unafraid Anthony Edwards is of anyone on the court.

When speaking to the media recently, Anthony Edwards was asked about playing LeBron James, and his response suggests that he isn’t afraid of playing legendary players. Edwards claimed that he wants to “go at” players of James’ caliber “every time”, adding that he’s “not passing” when facing someone like James.

Anthony Edwards when asked about playing LeBron:

"Any time I see one of those GOATs in front of me, I’m trying to go at them. Every time. I’m not passing. That’s what’s in my mind. Every time I see a LeBron, Kevin Durant, everybody in that category, I’m trying to go at them."

“Any time I see one of those GOATs in front of me, I’m trying to go at them. Every time. I’m not passing. That’s what’s in my mind. Every time I see a LeBron, Kevin Durant, everybody in that category, I’m trying to go at them.”

It is clear that Anthony Edwards is willing to take on the challenge of facing greats like LeBron James and Kevin Durant. One can’t be afraid when facing players of that caliber, and Anthony Edwards clearly isn’t shying away from trying to go at them.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently the 7th seed in the Western Conference with a 41-30 record. They are a solid team that could potentially get out of a play-in tournament spot in the upcoming weeks. If not, they are widely viewed as the best team in the play-in tournament, meaning that they should be able to make the playoffs via that route. Hopefully, we see the franchise make it to the playoffs, and they’ll be a tough matchup for any contender.
