Breaking: Domantas Sabonis To Replace Kevin Durant In The All-Star Game

2 Min Read

All-Star Kevin Durant will reportedly sit out through the All-Star break due to his injury. It makes sense that the Brooklyn Nets would wish to be cautious with their superstar, as the goal is to win a championship at the end of the season.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Durant sitting out due to a hamstring injury. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski in turn reported about Domantas Sabonis replacing Durant. The Indiana Pacers are a playoff seed who didn’t get an All-Star, so Sabonis was a worthy candidate for the pick.

It is a sad day for the world when Kevin Durant has to miss an All-Star Game, but if that means that he gets fully healthy, then it is a small price to pay. Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the world, and it would have been amazing if he was able to show out in the All-Star game. However, Domantas Sabonis is an amazing replacement, as he is one of the best passing big men in the league.

It is good that Domantas Sabonis got picked for the All-Star game, as he has been the engine of the Indiana Pacers’ offense all season. Hopefully, he can continue to show the skills that led to that selection.
