Paul George is one of the best players in the league today. George has a reputation for being one of the best all-around wing players in the league, and he has led the Clippers to the 5th seed in the Western Conference this year, even without the presence of Kawhi Leonard.

Even though Paul George is a fantastic player currently, there was once a lot of doubt about how his career would end up. In 2014, Paul George suffered a gruesome leg injury, which he has since obviously bounced back from. He was even an MVP candidate during the 2018-19 season.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather has recently lauded Paul George’s bounceback from the injury in an Instagram post, stating that he’s “proud” of Paul George and that the superstar “came back stronger” after getting hurt.

Paul George also responded to the post, and appreciate Floyd Mayweather for being “a part of my journey” throughout all of it. There’s no question that there is mutual respect between the two athletes.

Injuries are the worst part of any professional sport. It always hurts to see players get injuries, especially major ones that could change the course of their entire career. There have been a lot of players with insane potential that couldn’t reach it due to career-altering injuries. It is definitely good to see a success story like Paul George who has managed to come back from a serious injury as a top-tier player.

Paul George has been out with an elbow injury recently, missing the Clippers’ last 4 games. The team will hope that he returns soon, as he is their No. 1 offensive option and the focal point of their offense. Paul George has always been capable of being the leading player for a franchise, and this season we have seen him show that once again.
