Giannis Antetookoumnmpo has a complicated relationship with America’s favorite cookie.

Earlier this week, he shared his excitement to the Twitter world after finding out that Oreos taste best when dunked in a cold glass of milk.

He tried dunking his Oreos in milk for the first time after a young fan told him how good it makes it taste. And he enjoyed it a lot, even going as far as to say that it was a game-changer, and wondering why his girlfriend didn’t tell him about it sooner.

People were quite surprised that 26-year-old Giannis didn’t already know this trick, as it’s a well-documented method of enjoying the popular snack.

The best part of this whole thing, however, was the story Giannis revealed later on, of when he apparently ate nothing but Oreos for a month straight.

“When I was younger, I was always craving Oreos and I could never afford them. I was like when I get a little bit of money, people are gonna spend money on cars and chains, and I bought Oreos. I ate them for a month straight. No dinner, no lunch, no nothing. I got sick of them.”

Giannis may be a 6’11” 2x MVP, but it seems even he isn’t immune to an Oreo addiction.

Seriously, though, the Greek Freak has opened up a lot over the past few years, showing us a different side of him than the one we see on the court every day.

Not only does it show us all his fun-loving personality, but it also allows us to relate to him on a deeper level.

Regarding his business on the court, the 5x All-Star is once again proving himself to be one of the best players in the entire NBA, averaging roughly 27 points and 11.7 rebounds per game on 51% shooting this season.

As long as he stays away from the Oreos, there’s o reason to think he isn’t capable of keeping up that level of play for the next few years to come.
