Jalen Rose broke his silence after filing for divorce from Molly Qerim. The former NBA player-turned-analyst married the ESPN talent in 2018, but their relationship hasn’t gone as planned, prompting them to go in separate ways.

Back in April, Rose filed for divorce, per TMZ Sports. They stated that the couple is on good terms right now, and the breakup was actually friendly. Their busy schedules played a role in this situation, but both agreed this is the best decision for them.

One of sports TV’s power couples has broken up — ex-NBA player Jalen Rose filed for divorce from ESPN host Molly Qerim, TMZ Sports has learned.

Court records show Rose filed docs earlier this year … kickstarting the process to end their 2 and a half year marriage.

Sources tell us the breakup was amicable and both sides remain cordial.

A couple of hours after the report surfaced, the former Most Improved Player of the Year shared a statement talking about his divorce, pretty much confirming they are still friends and wishing the best to each other.

“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways,” Rose wrote on his Instagram story. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship going forward. Please respect our privacy at this time.”

Curiously, these two work in ESPN, but not in the same place. The distance was a big factor for their decision, as the report suggested things completely fell apart after Molly moved to Connecticut. She’s been a co-host of “First Take” since 2015, while Rose has his ‘Jalen & Jacoby Show’ on the network, while working at NBA Countdown, too.

It must be hard going through this situation, but we wish the best for these two.
