If Game 1 of these NBA Finals is anything to go by, then we are in for a treat. The Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics have put on a show here so far, as everyone watching has undoubtedly been very impressed by the level of basketball on display.
The Warriors led by Steph Curry started off with a bang, but the Celtics roared back in style to take control of the game. Kevin Durant is someone who loved every minute of it and he praised the basketball on display on Twitter during the fourth quarter of the game:
High level of basketball being displayed gentlemen

“High level of basketball being displayed gentlemen”
We have really witnessed some terrific basketball in Game 1 and we hope it stays the same the rest of the way. The Celtics once again showed why they have been the best team in the league in 2022 as they withstood an onslaught from Curry early on to eventually take over the game in the fourth quarter. KD would know all about what the Warriors would be going through right now, as the Celtics did it to him and the Brooklyn Nets in Round 1 of these playoffs.
That sweep in Round 1 has given KD an extended off-season break, and he has had plenty of free time on his hands to go off at folks on social media. His latest jab came at sports television personalities like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless, as KD said, they have changed the game for the worse. He also had an exchange on a bit of a lighter note with Draymond Green, after the Warriors forward claimed on the Colin Cowherd podcast that Curry was double-teamed 7 times more than KD in the Finals when they played together.
Durant has been getting some criticism recently for leaving the Warriors as they made the Finals this season and there is no doubt that he is coming back with a vengeance next season.
