It’s been 50 years since the New York Knicks last won an NBA Championship. The franchise’s fanbase has obviously been aching for an NBA title for ages.
So much so that they are ready to give up many important things in their life to see their organization win an NBA title. Mikey Domagala of the ‘NBA Buzz’ recently interviewed a few Knicks fans outside Madison Square Garden, and fans mentioned a lot of things that they are ready to give up.
“My girlfriend. I can give that up, for sure. My relationship,” a fan said.
“I would walk around Times Square naked. Just have everyone look at me and embarrass the hell out of myself just for a Knicks chip,” another fan said.
“Probably my dog, yeah, I was gonna say a pet because, you know, just get another fan, but another Knicks chip? Might not come for another 40 years,” a Knicks fan made a shocking statement.
“Nothing. This is my first Knicks game, I would give up nothing,” a rookie Knicks fan said.
This was only a glimpse of how badly the Knicks fanbase wants their franchise to win the third NBA Championship in its history. Make sure to watch the entire video to get a much better idea of the agony that the Knicks’ fanbase has gone through over the years.
The New York Knicks Have Clinched A Playoff Berth
The New York Knicks have impressed a lot of fans with their performances in the 2022-23 NBA season. With three games still left to be played this season, the Knicks have clinched a spot in the postseason.
As of now, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-33 record. However, the job is not done for the team. Jalen Brunson recently shared this message to ensure his teammates do not lose focus after advancing to the postseason.
“It’s a great feeling, it’s something you strive for. You want a chance to compete. The fact that we get to further on our season is great. But we still have a lot of work to do.”
As Brunson said, the team still has a lot of work to do in order to have a successful postseason run.
Can the duo of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle finally end the Knicks’ 50-year championship drought? We will find out over the next few weeks.
