The NBA free agency begins today, but teams have started to engage in trades even prior to that. There are many huge trades that were rumored to take place, but nothing major has taken place aside from Dejounte Murray getting traded to the Atlanta Hawks.

Apart from that, the Washington Wizards and the Denver Nuggets engaged in a trade that helped both teams. While the Nuggets got Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith, they had to give up Monte Morris and Will Barton in return.

Usually, these types of trades often happen in the NBA and it isn’t a big deal. But there is one thing special about this trade. Since the Wizards acquired Monte Morris, it has reunited him with his childhood buddy Kyle Kuzma.

The two used to play together during their childhood. Kuzma recently took it to Twitter to reveal this fact and his happiness was too much to contain for him. In tweet, Kuz mentioned that it was a childhood dream for him and Morris to play together on the same team in the NBA and it has finally been fulfilled.

On the the other end! I get a brother back! Monte and I were in second grade together and at 8 years old we said we would play on the same NBA team together!🤯🤯🤯🤯 LIFE IS A SIMULATION

“On the the other end! I get a brother back! Monte and I were in second grade together and at 8 years old we said we would play on the same NBA team together! LIFE IS A SIMULATION.”

Although it is great to see two childhood friends reunite and that too at the biggest basketball league in the world, their happiness could be short-lived.

According to recent rumors, the Washington Wizards could trade Kyle Kuzma. Considering that the Wizards want to convince Bradley Beal to stay with the franchise, they need to drastically improve the roster. And trading Kuzma could be a crucial step in that.

But they couldn’t very well keep Kuzma in the roster as well. After all, last season he averaged a respectable 17.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 45.2% shooting.
