Kyrie Irving Posted A Strange Tweet: “You Better Stop Lying To Your People, Europe And America. The Original People Are Returning.”

2 Min Read

Nets star Kyrie Irving is a magician on the basketball court. But when it comes to his takes on politics and society, the dude can be a bit out there.

In the past, Irving has linked himself to flat-earth conspiracies, the Illuminati, and an identity as “woke.”

On Monday, Irving once again made headlines for an outlandish take, posting on Twitter that Europe and America must stop lying to their citizens and that the “original people” are returning.

The idea seems to be that we are being lied to about our history and that information is being left out by the government and re-told to us the way they want us to see it.

Needless to say, his words came with a lot of noise — both positive and negative.

Interestingly enough, there were also a lot of supporters in the comments, and it’s clear that Irving’s ideals, while bizarre, aren’t just his alone. There are many who question the legitimacy of our history, and Irving is fanning that flame of doubt more than any other sports icon in the world.

Love him or hate him, that sort of rhetoric can be dangerous to spread around like that.
