LeBron James topped the list of most-viewed players on NBA Social this season, recording a mammoth 1.3 billion views.

According to ESPN, the league released the numbers of players who dominated the socials, and one rung below James was Stephen Curry, with 881 million views.

Here’s a quick look at the video views.

LeBron James: 1.3 billon

Stephen Curry: 881 million

Luka Doncic: 736 million

Ja Morant: 653 million

Giannis Antetokounmpo: 522 million

Jayson Tatum: 496 million

Kyrie Irving: 374 million

Victor Wembanyama: 350 millon

Jordan Poole: 293 million

Nikola Jokic: 253 million

It’s surprising to see Jordan Poole on that list, but with the guard playing some solid basketball and his offseason skirmish with Draymond Green, it’s justified to see him make the cut and even pip MVP candidate Nikola Jokic.

Safe to say, much of the views for James and Curry would have come from videos of their plays. While the veteran did have some epic moments this season, one of the being his feat of surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the league’s leading scorer, Curry’s beyond-the-arc magic rightly puts him in second place.

NBA Fans React To The List Of Players With The Most Views On NBA Social

Unsurprisingly, the report garnered quite a response from fans on Twitter. While one segment was not really surprised with James topping the list, some felt Poole in at No. 9 was unexpected.

One fan wasn’t expecting to see Wembanyama on the list. “That’s wild # 8 ain’t even in the league yet.”

A fan reckoned that Poole made it due to his growing popularity among young supporters in the Bay area.

“Props to King James for being number 1 on the NBA’s top 10 most-viewed players on social media list this season. He is the GOAT Keep up the great work LBJ6! Go Lakers!” a tweet read.

“Victor is not in the league and pulling these numbers is crazy,” a tweet said.

The likes of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Joel Embiid missing out does come as a bit of a dampener, but in the end, it’s worth noting that social media is a weird and unpredictable world.

But for now, expect the top five names to garner more social media numbers in the days to come.
