LeBron James might have had a night off but kept a watchful eye over the NBA action tonight, watching two legendary outings from centers. Joel Embiid dropped 70 points and 18 rebounds in a clash with Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs, while Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 62 points in a loss to the Hornets.

LeBron James reacted to each performance, first remarking on Joel Embiid’s sensational night.

“70 PIECE NUGGET!!!! CRAZY.”

LeBron would later also comment on KAT’s heroics in Charlotte.

“KAT got 58 at the end of the 3rd! 10-12 from 3 so far. These boys tonight going CRAZY!!”

Both players set a new franchise record for their respective franchises with their performances tonight. Embiid made his case for MVP undisputable with the excellence on display tonight. Unfortunately, KAT’s night ended on a sour note with a blown 18-point lead.

Embiid is averaging 36.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists this season but can afford to only miss four more games till the end of the season if he wants to be eligible for the MVP award.

Towns is averaging 22.5 points and 8.8 rebounds, leading the Wolves to the best record in the West this season. The loss tonight will be a big one to bear, not only because of KAT’s historic performance going to waste but also because the Wolves lost to one of the worst teams in the NBA at home by blowing a nearly 20-point lead.

LeBron James Watched The Next Generation Dominate Tonight

Tonight’s slate had no shortage of big games and it’s clear James was tuned in to what was happening. Embiid’s masterclass was followed by the Cavaliers continuing their strong form without Evan Mobley and Darius Garland, as an unexpected 26-point cameo by Sam Merrill was crucial in a 27-point win over the Magic.

The Bucks were in a fight against the Pistons but managed to pull ahead for a 122-113 win, as Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped a 31-point triple-double with 17 rebounds and 10 assists. Another exciting clash took place in Toronto as the short-handed Grizzlies pulled out a 108-100 road win courtesy of Jaren Jackson Jr. dropping 27 points.

KAT’s performance in Minnesota was devalued by a rough fourth quarter where the team was outscored by 15 points in the eight minutes where he was on the floor. Brandon Miller had a defining game of his rookie season in this one, dropping 27 points while Miles Bridges had 28 points.

The big game of the night pit the Celtics against the Mavericks, as Boston walked away from Dallas with a 119-110 win. Jayson Tatum, had 39 points and 11 rebounds while Jaylen Brown had 34 points in the strong win. Luka Doncic had a monster triple-double with 33 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists. but his poor defense and inefficient shooting were a problem.

The Bulls and Suns are in a tie game with four minutes left in the fourth quarter right now, while the Kings hold a big 17-point lead over the Hawks at halftime in their game.
